I am a visual effects artist. I currently work at Industrial Light & Magic, a division of Lucasfilm, in San Francisco, California. My past projects include the feature films IRON MAN 2, AVATAR, STAR TREK, AVATAR, two TRANSFORMERS films, and two STAR WARS films.

Flat Earth Productions

Banned From The Ranch

While working with visual effects house Banned From The Ranch, I served as 2D Supervisor and Lead Digital Artist. Under the direction of VFX supervisor Van Ling, we created effects for INSPECTOR GADGET, DR. DOLITTLE and much more. I moved on to Flat Earth Productions--for VFX Supervisor Doug Beswick, I was a composite artist for the fifth season "Xena: Warrior Princess," and lead feature film compositor. At Pixel Magic, I was compositing supervisor for Renny Harlin's DRIVEN and the Bruce Willis film, HART'S WAR.

I am currently an artist at Industrial Light + Magic in San Francisco, California, where I completed work on STAR WARS Episodes II and III, WAR OF THE WORLDS, HULK and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN for such supervisors as Roger Guyett, Dennis Muren, Tim Alexander, Ben Snow and John Knoll.

In 2005, I worked on EPISODE III, WAR OF THE WORLDS and HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE, three out of the four top grossing films of the year. In 2006, I was a sequence supervisor on MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III for vfx supervisor Roger Guyett and compositing supervisor Pat Tubach. ILM created over 500 "invisible" visual effects for the feature, directed by J.J. Abrams. And in 2007 I was a sequence supervisor for Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS for vfx supervisor Scott Farrar and compositing supervisor Pat Tubach.

For 2009, I contributed to visual effects for the films STAR TREK, AVATAR, and TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN. I recently served as a sequence supervisor on IRON MAN 2.

I share a VES Award for Outstanding Compositing for our work on TRANSFORMERS, and was also nominated for a VES Award for our compositing work on AVATAR.

    Visual Effects Headquarters

One of the major projects I've tackled over the years is VFX HQ: Visual Effects Headquarters, a web site I developed and produced between 1995 and 1999.

The VFX HQ is the home for news and information on the feature film visual effects industry, and contains hundreds of pages of reviews, commentary and information on Hollywood's biggest special effects films and producers.

    Visit the site at http://www.vfxhq.com.
